Remote control and supervision device for the Primary Cabin
The TPT-2000 is a remote control and supervision device for the Primary Cabin (conversion from High Voltage to Medium Voltage) of ENEL Distribuzione.

Functions performed
The TPT-2000 communicates with ENEL central equipment (Centre) to forward the remote controls received from the Centre to the field, to acquire and make available to the Centre information relating to the status of the control devices and protection and control devices installed in the systems and to provide the Centre with the value of the analogue measurements coming from the system.
The TPT-2000 implements local processing of medium complexity, aimed at correlating the input signals with each other and transmitting to the Centre the report of the synthetic event that generated them.
The TPT2000 also implements automation functions for logic selectivity protections (back-up for faults) and for the execution of automatic procedures (centralised reclosure of MV lines, automatic resumption of service following a tripping of the transformer for protections, regulation of reactive power and voltage by means of rephasing capacitors, paralleling of transformers, etc.). Communication between TPT-2000 and the Center uses standard Internet protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, FTP, etc.) and is based on the following types of carriers: electrical and fiber optic Ethernet networks; modems on dedicated 2- or 4-wire lines; modems on switched telephone network (PSTN) or GSM.
